Donald Leslie Harradine ( Enfield , 1911 - 1996 ) was an English golf course architect .

His stepfather Albert Hockey designed his first golf course in 1891, selling golf clubs under his own name. The Hockey golf clubs were sold all the way to the United States. In 1920 he was one of the first people to teach indoor golf. He did this in Harrods .

Donald therefore came into contact with golf at a young age. In 1929 Albert Hockey had to design the golf course at Golf Club Bad Ragaz , for which the family moved to Switzerland. Donald gets to help his stepfather and his talents are discovered. When Bad Ragaz was finished, the family returned to England, but Donald was involved in the construction of a small job in Flims and stayed in Switzerland.

In 1939 he worked at the embassy in Bern, where he met his future wife Babette. They had two children, Kathleen and Peter . After the Second World War , the family moved to Caslano .
