George Pannell was a British golf professional living in Belgium.
He won the first edition of the Dutch Open in August 1912 . It was then played on the 9-hole course of the The Hague Golf Club, the predecessor of the Koninklijke Haagsche Golf & Country Club . The Hague Golf Club then had a 9-hole golf course at Clingendael racecourse. He needed 158 strokes to play 36 holes.
