Holtsmark Golf Club

There are many reasons to take the trip to Holtsmark Golf. Located at the end of the fertile Lier delta approx. 20 km from Drammen and approx. 35 km from Sandvika, the resort offers golf pleasures and challenges in scenic surroundings.

The establishment started in 1998, and the course was opened as a completed 18-hole course in 2005. The main course is a par 72 course of 6,298 m from tee 63 (backtee) and is located in forest terrain with low ridges and deep ravines. It gives each hole its own distinctive character. The 18 holes are sheltered from each other and you can often get an exclusive feeling of being alone on the course.

Holtsmark''s members and guest players can enjoy the large training area between the clubhouse and «Eplehagen». The almost 300 meter long driving range has 25 tees, and there are flags for training in length and direction.

The areas for close play offer a large and undulating green with the opportunity for putting from most positions. Pitch strokes can be struck against a small green from up to 100 meters, in addition to short and long branch hits from the two large bunkers.

In the pro shop, you can supplement the equipment, stock up before the round or order something well-deserved well until you come in after the game. The clubhouse is of more recent date for the club, but the building is Sylling''s oldest permanent school (from 1859). The building was taken down from its 154-year-old square in Syllingbakken, and rebuilt on Holtsmark where it now stands. In addition to the pro shop, the clubhouse has a beautiful family room, a full kitchen and good wardrobe facilities. A large and sheltered terrace overlooking the greens on hole 6 and hole 18 is a favorite meeting place both before and after the round.
