Falkenbergs Golf Club

Already since 1949, when Falkenbergs Golfklubb was formed, the course has belonged to one of the most appreciated on the West Coast.

The original track was not located where today''s track is located, but at what is today the industrial area on Västra Gärdet in Falkenberg.

In 1961, a new 9-hole course was inaugurated at the current location

In 1968 the course was expanded to 18 holes and with a further 9 holes in 1985

The most recent addition to the course is a 5-hole short hole course that was put into operation in 2010

As a curiosity in the context, it can be mentioned that at the inauguration both in 1969 and 1985, the very golf-interested Prince Bertil had promised to attend and inaugurate the courses. Unfortunately, the Prince was prevented both of these times but nevertheless visited the club for games on several occasions.
