One man allowed the existence and creation of the Golf de Sperone, Jacques Dewez, the soul of the place, gentleman, aviator and automobile pilot, solitary navigator.

Creator of the Bonifacio nautical center, initiator of the Figari International Airport project, of the Ospedale dam, he left his mark on the tourist and economic development of the "Cité des Falaises" which he fell in love with. early 1960s.

Associated with his brother Guy Dewez and his friend Jean Kerguen, he created the Marin village of Ciappili made up of wooden frame houses (Red Ceddar) in 1970, then Domaine de Sperone in 1985 and the famous golf course, opened in 1990/1991 .

A great sportsman, a born competitor, he started golfing at 60 with enthusiasm and astonishing vitality.
Passionate about sailing, he uses wood as a building material and opts for the 73 hectare frost which will only be used for golf, "the best firebreak against fires ravaging Corsica. "

These 18 holes, wonderfully inserted in a unique site, attract more than 20,000 golfers from all over the world each year.
Almost as famous as the city of Bonifacio, it has become one of the heritage monuments, and the pride of the far south of Corsica.
