Real Club de Golf El Prat

The origins go back to 1912 when the Barcelona Golf Club in Pedralbes was created, an initiative of some golf enthusiasts belonging to the nobility and aristocracy of Barcelona. It was the first golf club in the city of Barcelona that over time and due to the growth of the city had to make its first qualitative leap to install its new facilities, in 1954, in El Prat de Llobregat, next to Barcelona airport, with the name of Real Club de Golf El Prat.

Today, since 2003 and due to the expansions of the airport Located on the BonVilar estate, between Terrassa and Sabadell and just 30 minutes from Barcelona , it has a natural environment of 210 hectares, to which 13,000 are added of the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l''Obac Natural Park that surround the facilities.

In this idyllic landscape, Greg Norman designed 45 holes with a unique approach that fuses comfort, adapting the course to each level and style of play, with beauty, harmoniously integrating the seven courses with nature. In fact, respect for the environment in all its facets is one of the club''s basic guidelines, which has earned it ISO 14001 recognition for its commitment to sustainability.

The distinctive mark of the Real Club de Golf El Prat reaches its maximum splendor in the sports area: it is the most awarded club in Europe and has numerous active professionals on the various national and European circuits. A level of excellence ratified by the ten occasions in which the Spanish Golf Open has been organized and hosted.
