The Allfinanz Golf Course Brunnwies was Bernhard Langer''s first design for the Golf Resort Bad Griesbach, and his design for the 18-hole course is still considered an all-round success today. Because the championship course is a kind of " Best of Bad Griesbach ", containing almost everything that characterizes the golf resort and makes it popular: wonderful views of beautiful nature, fairways harmoniously integrated into the hilly landscape , a varied, sporty design, but that can be mastered by everyone, a very good condition and with the Gutshof a cosy, rustic meeting place that makes après golf a pleasure.

It is this unique combination that makes Brunnwies the favorite course in the golf resort for many recreational golfers and prompted the English trade magazine "Golf World" to award Brunnwies one of the " Top 20" golf courses in Europe. Extensive rough, water in strategic places and strongly undulating, hand-mown greens that are challenging to putt and allow tricky pin positions are sporting characteristics.

Above all, the landscape structure contributes to the visual appeal of the par 71/70 course. The 18 holes wind their way almost naturally through the rolling hills of the Rottal and offer beautiful views of the landscape, which is also called the "Bavarian Tuscany". There are only two places where there are steeper ascents, which at their highest points not only offer a beautiful view but also particularly interesting holes with long tee shots: After the long climb up to the fifth and nearby sixth green on top of the plateau, you go from the seventh tee far into the depths. Long hitters who can hit beyond the field to the right have the chance to reach the elevated green of this highly interesting par 5 hole in two shots.

The high 14th tee is also spectacular: the green, defended by a pond and two bunkers, is a good 50 meters lower. The right choice of club is crucial on this par 3, which is 155 meters long from the yellow tees. As befits a good golf course, the final hole is challenging and memorable. On the downhill dogleg on the right, the long hitters can take a huge shortcut with a perfect tee shot and almost hit the ball onto the green, but they have to overcome trees and the out of bounds.
