The Golf Courses of Lawsonia

Lawsonia is one of Wisconsin’s most beloved golf destinations, and has been for generations. Why do our golfers return year after year? Because simply put, there is nothing quite like it in the Midwest!

We have award winning classic golf on the Links, and two fabulously different 18 hole golf courses on the same property. Combined with friendly pricing, and warm Wisconsin hospitality in our golf shop and in Langford’s Pub, Lawsonia is hard to beat as a 36 hole golf destination.

The Woodlands
Lakeside vistas and tees next to cliffs and quarries add charm and challenge to this beautiful parkland layout. The Woodlands weaves through mature hardwood and pine forest, and provides some stunning views to Green Lake… and keep your cameras handy and your eyes peeled for badgers, whitetail deer, wild turkeys, hawks and eagles!

The greens on The Woodlands are big and sloping, and a lot of fun! As you might expect by the name, The Woodlands features tree lined fairways, but also has generous width in the landing areas to keep your game fun and moving forward. Like The Links Course next door, The Woodlands is always in fantastic shape, and makes for a truly unique 36 hole experience at Lawsonia!

The Links
Lawsonia’s historic Links Course has long been considered one of the best classic golf courses in the country. The course has undergone a revitalization over the past decade, including extensive tree work and thoughtful restoration, and a return to ‘firm and fast’ traditional playing surfaces on the course.

The Links features deep bunkers, wide fairways, and a set of putting greens that are as interesting and as good as anything you will find in the country. It is a big, bold golf course that remains virtually unchanged from the day its brilliant golf architects, Bill Langford and Ted Moreau, finished construction in 1930. The course is a marvel even before you consider it was built with 1920’s-era steam shovels!

Simply put, The Links is a tremendously fun and memorable golf course and one of the very best public courses in the country!
