Chantaco Golf Club

In 1928 when the club was founded, with the assistance from the renowned HARRY COLT, René Thion de la Chaume not only created a magnificent Golf Club, but by doing so he also celebrated the success of his daughter Simone who had earlier won the British Open in 1927.

In 1922 René Thion de la Chaume,an outstanding fencer, visited Saint Jean de Luz for the first time and subsequently La Nivelle golf course. This triggered off his dream.....

Step into the club house and you’ll find yourself immersed in Golf History.

Designed by Jean Walter in 1928, and renovated in 2018, the Club House has regained its original colors : a neat setting, elegant and welcoming that you may enjoy before or after playing.

Lockers are available to Members and Visitors, the resturant is open every day and the lounge offers a pleasant relaxing atmosphere with a view of the course.

Starting in Spring time, you can sit on the terrasses surrounded by camelias, azaleas, shaded by undred-year-old oaks.
