¡Hola! The gurus recently returned from another great golf trip. This time we took it international to Baja California Sur. Our travel from the US to Los Cabos International Airport was uneventful. Our first taste of Mexican hospitality came at the rental car counter when David, the friendly concierge, noticed our golf bags and asked if we would be playing El Diamante during our stay. The Takeaway Geronimo is among the 10% best courses in the Grand Canyon State and an excellent desert golf experience. The conditioning is absolutely top noth and the cutting edge $1.6 million Golf Performance Center is among the finest in the world with 3D motion capture, Scott Cameron putting analysis, and much more. This was one of those rounds of golf that went by in the blink of an eye.  Probably the best day of the year weather wise on the Ayrshire coast, 20 degrees and only a light (10 mph) breeze off the sea, we played at 3pm when the course was relatively quiet. Dolphin Coast For most visitors to SA looking to play golf the default locations are Cape Town and the Western Cape where courses such as Fancourt and Arabella are well established destinations. However as I found on this trip it’s worth looking further afield. Along the same lines of Bandon Dunes, Streamsong, and Whistling Straits, Erin Hills boasts a world class public golf experience with walking caddies, on-site accommodations, and exceptional course architecture. For the Guru, the appeal of this classic Naples, Florida resort starts with the easy accessibility of all its major amenities. The Guru travels around the world to play golf, but, ironically, I really don't have to venture beyond my hometown, Orlando, to tee up at phenomenal resorts. O-Town has an amazing inventory of resorts with courses designed by a Who's Who list of architects like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Tom Fazio and Tom Watson.
