This is a very fun Ross designed golf course just North of Boston. This course was very hilly and with lots of rolling terrain, fast greens and dog legs. You could see at one point there must have been a bunch of trees but they have cleared many out and gives the course a beautiful view. You can also see downtown Boston at different times during the round. Bel-Air is a special place. It is designed by two of my favorites, Thomas and Doak. This is the first time I have played the course since Doak renovated it. I think he nailed it. Covid-19 fylder stadig meget her i Danmark. Flere af landene i Europa er mærket som "frarådes at rejse til" af udenrigsministeriet, Personligt har vi holdt sommerferie hjemme og spillet de danske golfbaner tynde, så rejselysten er ikke blevet mindre. Vi er nu ca 75% vaccineret i Danmark, så det giver en større tryghed og mod på at bevæge sig udover grænserne. If you are a serious golfer in the state of Michigan there is a long standing debate over the King of public golf. Every perennial list will undoubtedly feature Arcadia Bluffs and Bay Harbor. Both are stunning-hillside rolling-loaded to the teeth with views-and pricey courses. Though, most debates typically give the nod to The Bluffs. Our planned golftrip to Portugal was cancelled due to Covid-19, so on a short notice we found paradise in Poland :) Sand Valley Golf Resort... I wrote an email friday afternoon to the Commercial Director and sunday morning 4 am we set course for Poland. A 12 hours trip in car from Copenhagen, Denmark. Gull Lake Golf Resort, just outside of Battle Creek, Michigan has held a special place in my golfing heart. In 2011, our group of golfing buddies decided we would start an annual trip called The Goat Rodeo Open. In its first year we chose Gull Lake for the price and massive grouping of courses that you could choose from. Their crown jewel course was Yarrow ; a gorgeous and demanding routing through the woods, over water, and through hilly dunes. First time playing Red Hawk Golf Course in Tawas, Michigan disappointed me more than I could imagine. Not the course itself, or the experience, or the layout - no, it was all amazing. Over the years, I have driven down I-94 a few dozen times on the way out to my grandparent’s lake house in Battle Creek. Like every other serious golfer I know, driving past a course that on a highway is thrilling. There is a split second where you can maybe see a few holes, or players hitting shots, and you instantly start imaging the hole; or the shot; or wonder about the course in general. I’ve see Calderone from a stretch on I-94 over and over and had tucked it away on a list of courses to play at some point.
