Gasparilla Golf Club

The Gasparilla Inn & Club is a classic “old Florida” resort located on Gasparilla Island on the Gulf of Mexico. An Historic Hotel of America Landmark Inn serving discerning guests since 1913, the resort offers 142 luxurious accommodations and a host of fun and appealing activities for families, couples, and groups that enjoy “Florida as it was meant to be.”

As you may be aware, our Golf Course took sustained significant damage during Hurricane Ian. The sea wall, greens, irrigation, and bunkers were all affected to varying degrees. We lost over 200 trees during the storm, including the iconic Banyan tree between holes five and six. Furthermore, structural damage was sustained on all buildings on the course. Our team has been assessing the damage over the last several weeks and weighing our options. We have been planning a major restoration that was to take place over the summer of 2024. The restoration was going to necessitate us closing the course early and opening it late in 2024.

Knowing this was on the horizon as well as the realization that we would not be able to reopen the course until well into this season, we have decided to move forward with the restoration now with the goal of opening the 2023 season on-time with a new, pristine course that will serve us all for the next 20+ years.
