Golfclub Schloß Frauenthal

A round in Frauenthal begins as relaxing as a "walk in the park" , in this case even through a real castle park and ends in the heart of the western Styrian hill country. Perfectly positioned greens, numerous water hazards require playful precision paired with strategic play, whether beginner or advanced, boredom is a foreign word in Frauenthal!

It was in 1988 when a golf club was founded in the idyllic Frauenthal southwest of Graz, in Styria. They started with a driving range and in the same year opened the first 9 holes in the castle park.

In a few years, from 1988 to 1999, the golf course in Frauenthal in western Styria grew to its full size and beauty. The second 9 holes with a hilly character through a wonderful mixed forest were added. It wasn''t length that was required here, but precision.

The combination of the completely opposing front and back nine may have been one of the reasons that Frauenthal ended the 2003 season as Austrian team champion!

The heart of the lovingly and lavishly cared for facility beats in the clubhouse. The comfortably furnished restaurant spoils the guest with a cuisine that ranges from down-to-earth to Mediterranean. The matching, especially Styrian, wines complement the culinary experience in the golf restaurant.
